Inaccurate GEM

My new Celestron GEM is very inaccurate when tracking to the first Star. It is though the 2 pointers, or 1 of them is stuck in the wrong place. I did read somewhere that when a GEM was put through its test, the reviewer had to unstick one of the pointers and move it to a different position. Does anyone know of this problem
