......are opening its doors on Sunday 18th May, between 2pm - 5pm. Get views of the Sun and Mercury through their 'scopes or if weather unsuitable get a look round their domes and talk to astronomers.

Cost is £4.00 which also gets you into the Clinton-Baker Pinetum, 10 acres of woodland walks. (Not suitable for wheelchairs as some of the paths are rough, steep and slippery).

The proceeds will be shared between the British Red Cross and Clinton-Baker Pinetum.

Directions:

2 miles south west of Hertford. Access is via B158, Lower Hatfield Road, at the junction with St Mary's Lane. Take turning signposted to 'Science Learning Centre' and follow Red Cross signs to car park.
