PS3 eye guider

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a usb guider, eq5 drives and a PS3 eye camera for guiding. I have removed the main lens holder and the i/r filter inside. I have also achieved prime focus with it through my finder. The cam I have is classed as one of the "bad" models. As a result of this I couldn't remove the i/r filter without destroying the lens. Should the camera have an m12 mount and lens replacement or is it fine just focusing directly from the main guider lens straight into the sensor? I appreciate it currently seems to work but didn't know i should be replacing the lens to give me a better fov?

Thanks,

Dan
