Celestron F6.3 V QHY8 V Second Attempt

My second attempt this time with help from photoshop.Any comments where and what Ive

done wrong welcome.

I believe you need to debayer your FITS files before you process them, The full size image is still showing the bayer matrix artifacts in it.

I have tried that in Registax but the image turns green, when i select the files i get a message saying

they are B/W

A green image means the debayer options are incorrect. I`ll load some QHY8 FITs into Registax tomorrow and see what I can do.

An alternative is to debayer in Maxim (if you have it), and save them as 16 bit TIFFs, and then process the TIFFs in registax

That is a very clear & detailed image. If you don't like the wet sand colour just apply Auto colour in Photoshop. Also,try Auto levels but you may have to tone down the highlight areas a bit.

Here's one I did earlier,as they say on Blue Peter.
