Last night's effort - DWB 111 Propeller Nebula in Cygnus. 8 x 20min in H-alpha (Baader 7nM).

Scope: TV NP127is

Camera: Atik490EX @ 1x1

Mount: Losmandy G11 + Gemini

Guider: TV Pronto + Lodestar

Stacked in DSS, pp in StarTools, crippled 8-bit edition of the image provided by Photobucket :)

Certainly plenty of detail in there, a tad more contrast during the processing may enhance the actual propeller a little more. I'd encourage you to go for OIII & SII as well to get full colour on this one - your set-up seems spot-on for this target.

Thanks, yes, a bit more contrast may help bring it out.

It's interesting to view the image history for this run provided by SGPro. You can see how the conditions improve as the object rises higher, until the last frame which was lost due to dawn twilight.
