I haven't used it for Astro but use it to do just about all my raw development from my Canon 7D and 5D Mk III cameras. The Elite edition (needed for the higher end cameras like the 5D III ) is a lot more expensive...

The PRIME noise reduction is superb for high ISO shots but is very processor intensive - so much so that I built a new PC just to be able to use it effectively...

Unfortunately the PRIME NR can only be used on RAW files  with each raw usually being processed or "developed"  into a 16bit TIFF  which are several times larger than the RAWS they are developed from...

Yes I use it with my 70D, not a full-frame camera so doesn't require the Elite version. It's very good for correcting lens distortions as well as processing RAWs. I haven't used it much for astro images though.
