Guiding with a C11 Edge

Hello,

I was looking to purchase the Altair Astro maxiguide package for guiding my Mallincam X2 . I am totally sold on OAG for traditional imaging and intend to purchase a filter wheel OAG combo later but for now I wanted something quite simple for the Mallincam. I will be using a Lodestar for guiding.

I'm using the MFR-5 focal reducer which I believe gives roughly 0.6X reduction. 

Will the 80mm refractor be good enough for 1-2 minutes with the Mallincam? The alternative that has been mentioned is the new Celestron OAG but can't seem to find many reviews on it and it seems like a lot more hassle than the guidescope.

Does anyone have experience with a similar setup?
