Galaxy hunting with my camera - M81, M82, NGC3077, NGC2976

Clear skies so I thought i'd see if I could image either the pinwheel or whirlpool galaxies - unfortunately I couldn't get enough light with the short exposures i'm limited to, so thought i'd have another go at M81/82. I noticed i'd picked up a couple of others (barely) too so i'm pleased. Around 100 exposures of 3.2 seconds each, 75mm f1.8, camera mounted on a gorillapod on my patio table. Stacked in DSS with around 20 darks plus 20 or so bias frames. Haven't got around to building my motorised barn door tracker yet, so can't do much more than 3.2s at 75mm (150mm equivalent, 2x crop factor on my Olympus E-P5 micro 4/3 camera).

You've caught it well.

On Sunday night I managed 45 seconds and stacked with a 75mm lens.

Here is what I got just to give you a comparison.

Camera was sat ontop of my scope with a cheap MD to track.

Nice work, can I just see the supernova in M82 there?

Not sure as it must be getting quite dim now.
