Promising Planisphere

I'm a great fan of the planisphere. A nice relaxed IT-free  :D  way to prepare your head for a night outside, see what will be up and how the night will evolve.

Thanks to KerryLewis on another thread I discovered that Wil Tirion has done the charting for some new ones. I went for this version because it is almost right for my Latitude. (A larger one also exists.) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1770852522/ref=ox_ya_os_product_refresh_C

Wil Tirion is probably the only professional celestial cartographer working today and everything of his that I've used so far has been superb so I was happy to click away 19 euros!

By the way, another very nice way to prepare for an evening is to get your eye in by perusing the charts and adjacent photos in this book. http://www.amazon.fr/Photographic-Atlas-Stars-H-J-P-Arnold/dp/0750306548
