Cannon FD lens to T-thread adapters?

As part of my spectrohelioscope I have to mount camera lenses to things.. and I figured it would be easier (and cleaner) todo this with a connector adaptor. Now there are a lot of t-thread to FD body adaptors (i.e. "t-rings") but not many the other way around.

Anyone managed to solve this?

I'm considering getting a piece of tubing then cutting/drilling down to the right dimensions.

Geoptik are one of the manufacurers who make them for the current  Canon EF mount...  and you can get an FD to EOS (EF)  adaptor...

How much "length" have you got to play with? The FD mount register is 42mm...

Cheap extension tubes are a good source of the lens mounts and I am wondering if you could get an FD one and T thread one from the same manufacturer and cobble them together.

From experience, there's not much to play with given the back focus of the ATIK cameras seem to give about a 2-3 cm gap.. I see your thinking - FD>EOS then EOS>t-thread

I will have dig around IIRC theres a company in the US who do just about anything to anything adaptor wise...

I may end up doing exactly what you've suggested - getting a FD to X mount and then unscrewing the FD section to fit onto a t-thread adaptor.
