I live in Oxfordshire, where are the nearest retailers that have actual shops?

I've used them for bits and bobs and never had a complaint. But check the website cos I think you have to let them know when you want to visit due to irregular shop hours.

(Otherwise I think it may be London and Widescreen Center)

You could try the Tring Astronomy Centre.

Not sure whether it is/was part of David Hinds though.

Both are Celestron dealers.

I was lamenting the lack of physical shops nearby when I visited my mother in law who has two nearby, one practically on the doorstep.  I wanted some counter weights and the response from both was "we'll order some in for later in the week".  So ever since I have realised that although it is nice to look at the gear it is not that much of an advantage to have one nearby.

If you are on the Aylesbury side of Oxfordhire, I would recommend Tring Astronomy Centre too. Its off the A41. Bit of a trek for you though.

Tring is likely the closest, nothing to do with D Hinds but happen to be in the same building.

Check Ace Cameras, somewhere like Frome, they have an astronomy side, usually quite good.

Sherwoods as mentioned, but contact them first.

Sure there is one other around the Bristol area.

The rest for you would be clustered around, or in, London.

If you go to the Astro Buy and Sell UK site there is a front page of retailers on there. May be worth finding out who is where.
