Skywatcher Explorer 130P SynScan AZ GOTO scope upgrade

looking at swapping out the scope for a Celestron N6 (not purchased as yet) this is a 6" x 750 scope , would it fit on this mount?  it has a dove tail fitted so i assume it would if it get the balance right? also does anyone know what the eye piece size is as i am not sure if it has the 2" and 1.25 or just the latter.

The N6 tube is longer, 686mm as opposed to 615mm, it is also heavier 4.54Kg against 3.66Kg.

Since it is rare to have a mount that is engineered for much greater then the supplied scope you could have a problem.

The Celestrons come on 2 mounts, the one that takes the 4SE and 5SE the bigger takes the 6SE and 8SE. So on those if you had the smaller OTA then there is a bit of additional capacity. You have a Skywatcher and I do not know what they are rated at and if there is more then one.

Have you any further identification on the actual mount?

Thinking that TS sell, or did sell, the mounts as seperate items and they may have load data available.

May be in luck.

Synta mount AZSynscanGoto at TS the rating is stated as 5Kg, so the N6 is inside that load capacity and should therefore be OK.

Check out the one in the link and decide if it is yours.

Skywatcher do not list the AZ mounts, they say 6 goto's and show 4 EQ goto's, the missing 2 may be the AZ Goto's. So cannot determine what they class the capacity as.
