ST 80 and Horizon 8115

I'm thinking of getting a Skywatcher Skytravel 80 as a grab n go scope. I have had one of these before (in fact it was my first ever scope) and thought it was a great little telescope however what I didn't like about it was the EQ1 mount it came on which is ungainly and heavy.

I'm really looking for something I can carry out into the back garden in one piece and just plonk it down and observe. I already have a Horizon 8115 tripod and I'm wondering if this would cope OK with the ST80. Is anyone already using this combination? and if so how stable is the scope on this mount?
