A Quick Iris

I captured this on a recent campervan holiday in the north of Scotland from a very dark site (compared to my usual Glasgow city site that is!)

I only managed to capture 2h30min but here it is anyway.

This was taken with the QHY8L and is 10x900s lights with darks and bias. I didn't have the kit to take flats but the background flatten process in fitswork seems to have done the job (with a little help from crop).

I struggled a bit to bring out the colour of the iris without blowing out the stars.

Also, I've been using Fitswork to do all my initial stretching recently. I find it does a much better job than Photoshop and really helps control the star sizes.
