russellhq
I captured this on a recent campervan holiday in the north of Scotland from a very dark site (compared to my usual Glasgow city site that is!)I only managed to capture 2h30min but here it is anyway. This was taken with the QHY8L and is 10x900s lights with darks and bias. I didn't have the kit to take flats but the background flatten process in fitswork seems to have done the job (with a little help from crop).I struggled a bit to bring out the colour of the iris without blowing out the stars. Also, I've been using Fitswork to do all my initial stretching recently. I find it does a much better job than Photoshop and really helps control the star sizes.

russellhq
Thanks WaveSoarer. This is the first time I've tackled this subject and I was surprised at the amount of dust floating about!
