My First Milky Way

Hey everyone.

Whilst on holiday up in Kessingland near Ipswitch, I found that the skies were fairly unpolluted, so much so that I saw the Milky Way with my own eyes for the first time. (I live in London)

Anyway, I took a few photos with my Canon 450D and 18-55mm lens. I'm not a beginner at photography, but I always like suggestions and constructive criticism, so please. Tell me how I could have improved!

Hi Stefan,

You don't give us much info to help you out.

What exposure length did you use? What iso was the camera set at? Is this a single picture? Did you use a fixed tripod?

It's a good picture all the same. With the above info I'm sure people will give you a few tips on how to get more from your image.

Hello Adam, thanks for the reply.

I used an ISO setting of 1600, exposure of 13 seconds and an aperture of 3.5. The ISO and aperture ate at the very end of how far they go.
