Perseids around Cassiopia

Recommended Posts

Captured August 12th through to 13th. I followed Pete Lawences advice and went for a focal length of around 35mm but now wish I'd gone wider.

I started at about 10.00pm and captured about 380x20 second images and ended up with 7 frames with useable trails. Had a couple of hours sat on a garden recliner, there were a few great sightings but pretty infrequent..

Canon 550D and Tokina 16-50mm lens @35mm and fully opened to F2.8 (hence distorted stars) and ISO 1600

Really like the composition processing star colour ... where in the frame was the star you used forfocusing?

If it was close to the center try using the intersecting thirds point method...

Peter...

Thanks Peter. I think I actually focused on Vega but I guess the intersecting thirds method would still have worked fine if I'd thought about it.
