Carton 10x50 binoculars

The wife is keen on charity shop bargains, at least that's where she tells me she got all that designer gear

She found a pair of Carton 10x50's for a tenner. They seem to be pretty decent from the quick test I gave them in the garden and the few references I can find online.

Anyone know anything about them?

other than the references you have probably found no. I know the adlerblick are very well recommended but the old carton have the same reputation as all the old japanese manufacturers this may help you identify the age http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=188730

Thanks. I've been using them a lot since I got them. Very nice. Maybe not Zeiss but very decent given that their coatings are probably 70's technology.
