what image processor

Hi After reading about the advantages of shooting in raw i have decided to give it a go . What is the best image processor . I have elements 10, dpp and acr . Also my canon 50d has 3 raw settigs. raw sraw1 and sraw2 . sraw1 half file size. sraw2 quarter size . Has anyone tried these settings ? thanks
