Laser Collimater with TAL-2M

Hello,

I'm going to have to collimate my TAL-2M alone, so the laser collimator route (such as the Hotech by FLO) seems like a good idea.

Or is it?

Would I be expecting too much from the TAL rack and pinion focusser even with the self centering feature of this laser collimator?

Should I use a Cheshire in addition or instead of?

I use a cheshire in my 200P, but there is definitely a certain 'James Bond' vibe about using a laser with Russian kit

The TAL focusser isn't poor quality, is it?

Surely the SCA mechanism would take up any "slop" and allow for good to excellent results?
