I personally would not recommend that particular tablet. Have a look at the specifications and you will see that it runs only for four hours compared to eight hours on Nexus 7. It is not worth it.

Best Regards,

Serge.

Hmm yeah good point though im guessing 4 hours would be enough for a night observing as i would shut it down in between i guess. Mainly want it for quick referance really. Oh i dont no. Spec seems ok though. Ok it only has dual core where as the nexus is quad. Don't think theres much else between them apart from the battary life as you stated.

I have one the cheap Ainol Novo 7" tablets and it has a bigger capacity battery but the battery life is just horrible. I have not tried turning the WiFi OFF and see how it affects the battery life though...

A few more things to consider:

- Nexus 7 has a much better resolution (1280x800)

- Nexus 7 has a GPS

- Nexus 7 has Bluetooth - can be an advantage if you want to control the telescope using Bluetooth

Also with Nexus 7 you will get the OS which is up to date - with the other tablets you may get the latest version of Android only if the manufacturer decides to do it and with most cheap tablets it is not the case...

Best Regards,

Serge.
