Backyard EOS question

I'm making an exceptional foray into modded DSLR imaging (or trying to!) using Backyard EOS. Is it possible to do a log stretch of shortish subs to see some nebulosity in order to frame a target? All I can see at the moment are stars. I can't see a screen stretch function.

It has been a while so may not be 100% correct, but I didn't think BYE had that functionality, it has been requested and is on Guylain's to do list for v2.1.

APT does have a couple of live view stacking modes, but noise comes in fairly quickly.

Usually I just crank up the ISO to the highest setting for framing, not ideal but seems to work for me.

Ah, thanks Stuart. I'd forgotten about the fact that DSLRs have this 'ISO' gain control. That should help. However, coming from CCD and finding no screen stretch is a bit like getting on a bicycle and finding no pedals...!!
