View From Algarve

HI, I recently viewed the sky from the Algarve in at a village called Olhos de Agua last weekend and it was South facing (looking directly out to sea) between 20.00hrs-22.00hrs. I'm not sure what the planet was I looking at, any ideas anyone please?

Also, could anyone confirm I have the coordinates correct for that location (Olhos de Agua) 37degrees and 8 degrees - would greatly appreciate if someone could give me the exact full coordinates, thank you :-)

Okay just done a quickie courtesy of Google and SN -confirm co-ordinates as 37* 05'31 N & 8*11'30 W at the time you described , looking southwards it was most likely Jupiter, bright but lowish in the sky and in the region of SSW.
