Bahtinov grabber?

Hi all,

I'm awaiting delivery of a Bahtinov mask to use for webcam imaging of the moon/Jupiter etc & came across 'Bahtinov grabber', I'm still very much learning the ropes here but i've read that u need to use it with ASCOM, is this correct as I only have the EQ2 mount? If so then i suppose I'll have to wait until I've saved enough pennies for my future HEQ5. If this isnt the case can anyone tell me how it works? Thanks.

When I run the grabber, it looks like Ascom is required only if you're using an Ascom controlled focuser. My version of the Bahtinov Grabber is v10.0 dated 2009, I don't know if the functionality differs in a more recent version.

Got it, you were righ,t the version I downloaded was the option without ascom autofocuser (v10.0) Thanks again.
