adrastea
I'm hoping to build a telescope over the next couple of months but in the mean time I'm using medium-format to take wide-angle shots of the night sky. I really want to get a motor or something to attach to my camera or tripod in order to get sharp long exposures (I'm getting bored with star trails). I'm also really broke so I'm hoping to either make one myself or pick up something cheap somewhere and modify it. Anyone have any experience with making your own motors, or know of any book or paper that gives step-by-step instructions? Or know where I can get one really cheap? ((In fact, any info. about motors at all and tracking for astrophotography in general would be quite useful...))
