Good way to learn

Recommended Posts

Afew nights back cotterless and myself were trying to work a way of showing new astronomers the way to locate messiers and other objects, we attached a laser to an HEQ 5 and then used it to point at objects , this laser was easily then targeted with none goto scopes and then once all had found the object the laser turned off. In this way groups of 10 or so scopes could follow the goto lead.

This might be a good thing as a teaching session at a star party , ( lasers for 1 hour slot only so as not to upset the imagers), it definatley will work at local meetings on beginners night
