harrydog
I have a Vixen GP mount and a refractor telescopeThe mount came with a wooden tripod but ideally I could do with one that extends higher when looking toward the zenithAny ideas greatfully received; I was thinking of adapting a surveyors tripod?? John
You can get a pillar extension which adds 16" of height to the tripod. I use one with my CG5 tripod (same / similar fitting to the GP I think) and, with the tripod fully extended, it lifts the top of the mount to over 6 feet in height.
