GSO x3 Barlow for imaging ?

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I was looking at getting one of these for planetary imaging http://www.365astronomy.com/gso-3x-barlow-2element-barlow-with-ed-glass-p-23.html?zenid=456d1fb33264070208443fbfc9a78455 Has anyone had experience with this barlow ?

Looks a similar design to a TV x3 barlow and has ED glass but I'd hardly call it a pricey barlow and as they say "you get what you pay for". Could it be one of those hidden gems though ?

Thanks!

Any idea how it would compare to the Antares x3 barlow (Japan) ? I think the Antares is classed as a shorty and these are not as good as the standard barlows for imaging but I have read OK reviews for visual.
