Adding a piccy to a post

The piccy could be either a jpg/gif etc in a folder on my pc, or a cut and paste "item" as i tried earlier.

Could someone tell me how to insert this into a post?

If hosted elsewhere, you can copy the URL of the image, then click the picture icon in the reply box and paste it in. Or to attach the image to the post, hit the 'more reply options' and go to 'choose file', select your image file and ok, then hit 'attach this file'.

Hi Rik

i have followed your instructions choosing a jpg of M51.

so far i only see the words attacment = file name and no piccy.

i shall post this to see what happens.

Very top , right hand side of the thread , this one for example is a box " Reply to this topic " . If you click on this you will be able to post a photo into the this thread , as well as add dialog .

Its not posible to post a photo from the bottom of any thread .

Hope this helps as I was stumped when I first tried .

I did not see this icon, just the piccy message.

the piccy itself does not appear until the reply is posted.

i suppose there is the preview option.

I'll try it and see with a piccy of me.

Hi Brian, nice kit (and i bet you get "sky" as well down there),

I clicked "reply to this topic" at the top right, (this is the result) and it gives the same reply page as if you start writing in the bottom box and press the "show more options" button.

you still then go through the procedure Rik posted above.
