Calibration Problem with PDH

Hi.

On my last 2 outings i,ved had a problem with the Calibration process in PDH.

On selecting a guide star,it performs the West/East movements normally,then it "Cleans DEC Backlash"again normal.

This is where the problem arises,it is just staying on this Clean,whilst the steps keep counting,it is not progressing to North/South.

I keep trying different settings in the Brain,and eventually one will work,but i dont know whats happening here.

Normally i have no trouble with the calibration,so somethings not right.

Anyone experince this,and know whats happening.

Try the simple step to check the state of the cable you're using and try letting PHD move the mount to make sure signal goes through OK.

I calibrate using 1 sec interval, then go 3 once guiding.
