Hi all, if you use a specific programme like starry night and some others which use the two line elements for satellites then this link to the nasa elements site is a must http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/elements/ if you are using starry night then click the link for the element set you want, they are right at the bottom of the page. you will see two lines of numbers starting 1 then 2. Copy these lines, then find your starry night folder, double click the sky data folder then look through the list until you see one called satellite.txt.

Double click on it, after it opens click above the first set of text and paste in the two line element, where you have pasted the elements, click again above them and call it something like space shuttle, then do file save. Open up starry night, do a find and look for the name you used i.e space this will then open the list of items, you should then see one called space shuttle, click both boxes and you will see it on the screen going around the planet.

Hope this helps anyone with any interest. If you get both sets of elements prior to docking you can then see who is following who.

these are the latest which you can copy, however in starry night the iss one does get updated by the programme so you may wish to let the programme do it.

UPDATE - if you copy and paste these two elements into starry night now it will show both craft together on the same orbit. seeing as they have docked.
