petermarknimmo
Recently I have been noticing a decay in the sharpness of the image in my telescope, and now having made a collimation cap and checked the alignment, I am convinced that my scope is ready for its first collimation, however, as my scope has not got a parabolic mirror it has a correcting lens to reduce the magnification produced by the curved mirror. I have heard that this can cause problems for the collimation tools. Is this true? If so, what is the best way to go about the process? Should I go for a laser or a cheshire collimator? Anything I need to avoid?
