Can anyone help...?

My LX90 has a 2" diagonal fitted, but I find that when i try to use my 2" GSO 30 mm & 42mm, and in conjunction with my GSO x2 barlow; I have to withdraw th eyepieces from the tube to get a view (full in is black),,,I think it may have to do with the pupil size etc, but not too sure.

Anyone have similar probs and will an extension tube resolve this...if so how do I choose size...50mm 80mm etc...
