Hi all, and thank you so much for the welcoming! Very kind of you all and I feel like I 'belong' already!

James, your post made me laugh! :) Thanks for the info on eye pieces - most helpful! I have read some good reviews of the TAL barlows so may consider that in the near future.

And Jon, whilst I have no means of comparison with other scopes as yet, I highly recommend the Skywatcher 127 - it's served me very well so far!

Weather forecast for this part of the world is appalling for the rest of the week so I'll spend the time I would have spent at the scope on here reading instead...Thanks again to you all, this really is a great site! :rolleyes:
