Tripod adapter modification

Hi all hope you can help.

I came across this site yesterday when researching binocular options, got the Celestron 15x70 binocs which came today (super fat delivery!!). I saw mention of a modification to the plastic tripod adapter to stiffen it up (I can now see why, it's rather bendy isn't it) but I can't find the details. Could some kind soul point me in the right direction please?

I gave up on the plastic adapter that came with the binoculars and went for the large (heavy duty) version of this
