Quick Collimation Question

This mite be a silly question.. but i'm following Astro Baby's Cheshire Collimation instruction.. when i'm looking at the second mirror though the EP (collimation cap) should the focuser be in or out.. it seem to widen the view coloured paper surrounding the white circle...

As long as you can see the clips on the primary mirror it doesn't really matter

I can't see the primary at all.. I block it with some white paper in the tube.. For aligning the top mirror.. I think it was in decent alignment anyways.. I had to adjust the primary a little as the cheshire showed it to be sitting off to the high right about a cm..
