update on buying first scope...

Recommended Posts

hello again,

last night i posted about buying either a skyliner 200p or an explorer 150pl. On more research it seems i could get an explorer 200p on an eq5 mount. The question is, for 100 pounds more would this be a wiser purchase in the long run if i chose to get into astro photography?

thanks,

chris

HEQ5 Pro would be a better bet for long-exposure A/P...it carries more weight & has the 'auto-guider' port for a guide 'scope.... always start with the best mount you can afford...it's easier to save £200-300 to upgrade a 'scope than £1,000 to upgrade the mount
