rabgucci
HELP, HELP, HELPIve just bought a second hand skywatcher 90 mak. On getting it home + trying it out (i did`nt try it out at the time as it was broad daylight), it does`nt seem to focus on anything !. I`ve tried the moon + a bright distant streetlight, but might focus if i turned the focus knob + forced it too far. There seems to be quite a bit of play in the focus ? rod as i can push it in and out in between the extremes of it tightening up. Is there a simple remedy ? or have i been sold a turkey ? Any help would be appreciated.rabgucci
Tribal-Wolf
are you putting in the 90 degree prism? The focuser may just need adjusting.
rabgucci
Thanks Tribal-wolfI`ve just sussed it out. The screws where the original finder were, were screwed in too far stopping the mirror being focussed. Screws removed and all working ok.rabgucci
