2" or 1.25" filter

Hi all

I have a 2" focusser that fits all my 1.25" eye pieces. I am after a UHC filter but unsure where it fits so dont know if i need to get the 2" one to fit the focusser or the 1.25" to fit the ep - any advice please?

if it makes a difference this is the focusser i have:

It depends on whether you intend to get 2" eyepieces at any point. If you do then you will certainly want to use your UHC filter with them so it's best to go 2" now. If not 1.25" will work OK.

i will be sticking with 1.25" EP's so will stick with the smaller filter - thanks, i was worried i would have to spend the £80 ish on the 2".

Where abouts in the setup does the filter sit?

its ok - found the answer - the filters screw into the bottom of the EP before you insert it into the fucusser :-)
