Power Cables

The power cable that came with my Skywatcher Flextube 200p is a bit on the short side and the connection a bit dodgy so want to replace it.

Will the one here be ok First Light Optics - SkyTron Power Supply Cable for Skywatcher & Celestron Mounts ? In particular this one "Skywatcher EQ3-2, EQ5, HEQ5 & EQ6 series"?

I've e-mailed them but they are obviously busy, would like to place the order today as I'm off work so can take delivery.

Looks good the jack is the same size as mine 2.1mm

That would be the one I go for.

Sky-tron's site only list one cable for skywatcher scopes so I bet they are all the same.

EDIT hang on there is some text at the top of that link I failed to read

"Skywatcher Alt/Az mounts may require cables with a longer DC Jack"

I just went out to check my dob and the plug is a little longer then it needs to be

I also have a short jack that I bought on ebay to make my own cable ( I have not got round to it yet ) and that seems to fit fine

Or get one from Astronomiser - they do different lengths of cable and are very good quality. Astronomiser - Automated Astronomy and AstroImaging Solutions
