John24
How is 150PL on EQ 3-2 mount. I am not going to load anything on it except the scope so will it be stable?
badgers
I've been using the 150P on the EQ3-2 and its been just fine and perfectly stable for visual use.It gets a bit jittery with a DSLR mounted on a barlow, but using some ballast on the tripod and making sure it is properly balanced has helped make it more stable for me.Planetary imaging has worked out just fine even with the weight I can still get decent AVIs for stacking.DSO imaging will be a totally different matter though.Badgers
John24
Well I am not into AP right now. I was actually thinking of getting skyliner 150p but then i found that it might get a bit hectic to track the object as the earth rotates. just for visual use how is the mount? Does it vibrate too much to be noticed at high magnification?
Ian123
Tracking with a Dob is not that bad really, just need to give a little nudge. When you track with the slow-mo controls it will vibrate initially then settle down.
