Flyingpig
I used to use Plymouth as my nearest city (in the database) when I lived in Falmouth, (since Truro is not in the database) I took the scope to locations as far away from Plymouth as Lands End car park and The Lizard car park (incidentally both are superb dark sky spots); the alignment and tracking worked perfect and that's a got to be a good 70 -80 mile distance away. I wouldn't worry too much about having accurate latitude and longitude co-ordinates. That said if your imaging it may provide slightly better tracking accuracy but I normally only use my Nexstar for a portable grab and go scope.
