Last night, I watched an episode of the Sky at Night from one of the magazine disks I got round to checking out, I think it was a 30th year anniversary edition.

What fascinated me was a professional astronomer demonstrating stacking to Sir Patrick Moore for the first time. I think the astronomer in the film clip stacked 10 frames.

Its amazing to think how far we've moved on with technology from stacking images being processed by professionals to stacking becoming common place with amateurs like myself, and the software beiing free as well is another added bonus.

Just a point I considered after watcing the show.
