Newbie with a small scope.

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I recently purchased a Bresser 70mm refractor and have been trying to capture some images of the planets using it. So far I have been able to see Jupiter quite well and have been able to make out bands accross the disk but the images i have taken have no detail at all only a colour. I am using very basic equipment a small scope and a relitively cheap digital camera held to the lens, does anyone have any advice on how to get a better image (when i look through the scope the image is very clear).

Below is an image captured last night of Jupiter and one of its moons 4 were visable through the eyepiece.
