Recommend me a Telescope

Hi all, I'm new on here and I'm looking at buying a telescope.

I'm looking to pay up to £200 for a complete kit ( scope, stand, lenses ).

As I have no experience of shopping for telescopes, I hope someone can point me in the right direction of where to get one for my price range.

I preferably want to buy brand new, but if someone on here is selling a secondhand kit which is better than whats available in the shops then that would be great.

I currently use several apps for the iPhone 4S to help me locate stars, planets and satellites and give me a bit of info about what I can see.

Tonight I went to a local dark spot and used a £15 hand held scope to have a look at Jupiter and Mars. It was good enough to view them at a slightly more zoomed in level but to be honest was quite dreadful.

Any help given will be much appreciated.
