Eye Piece Filters

I have a Meade LS telescope with 1.25" eye pieces. How do filters fit onto the eye piece itself? I've read ones that screw on, but there are no threads.....

There should be a thread on the bottom inside of the eyepiece barrels. The filters screw on there. Alternatively some diagonals are threaded for filters and you can put the filter onto the end of the diagonal (the barrel that goes into the scope) and then you can change eyepieces without having to mess around and swap the filter over.
