Configuring Starry Night with the 'scope?

Hi there can anyone help me out? I thought I'd Bookmarked some info from the learning zone about hooking up Starry night with a 'scope, doubtless to say I hadn't! I've got V.5 Pro, if that helps. I'm sure I saw some thing very similar to my query not too long ago.

I have starry night pro V5 and can connect it to my Nextar 8" GPS and to my Vixen GPDX. Both systems use a rs232 cable from the serial port to the hand set. You need to install the ASCOM drivers platform v4.1 http://ascom-standards.org/downloads.html

Yeah, cheers Martin, ps It also helps if I were to read the Synscan Manual! I think it's the " ports" bit that gets me .I can never remember how to find out which port I've to use. I'll let you know how I get on.

I am using Starry Nights 6 pro plus and works in Vista fine as long as you run it as an xp compatibilty on running it and on the install.

Ascom won't install on windows vista says a .dll or .ocx file is missing is there a work around?
