Will this power a Celestron CPC scope?

Recommended Posts

As the title says, will this power a CPC scope? I'm looking for a portable battery that will sit on the rotating base, thus avoiding cord wrap and the need to lug around a 12V lead acid battery ... basically something like the Starizona piggyback battery solution (which is currently unavailable)?

I guess what I'm asking is if that connector will fit the CPC scope (what type/size of connector does the scope use?)

Thanks

I have run my CPC800 off 2700maH NiMH packs slewing for days on end when I was running in a bearing upgrade .. i used to tape them to the handle on the fork arm...

The servos in the CPC draw a lot less current than the steppers used in some other scopes .

The connector is either 5.5/2.5 or 5.5/2.1 Center +ve DC Coax power jack I will check in the morning..
