Hi All

I have just purchased a secondhand SKYWATCHER Dobson 200P. One of the four connectors securing the secondary mirror vane to the side panel is missing. Could anyone suggest where I can purchase another one?

Is it just the nut on the end of the thread that is missing or the threaded bit that attaches to the thin vane as well ?.

I think your best bet would be to contact the UK importers of Skywatcher equipment who are Optical Vision Ltd. Here is their website:

Alternatively it might be possible to fabricate something to replace the lost part from a short section of M6 threaded rod, a flattened surface at one end and a small screw / metal post inserted to latch onto the end of the thin vane.

OVL won't normally deal direct with the end customer... They really prefer you to contact a "dealer" for spares and repairs.

One of our collimation adjusters for the main mirror has vanished on our Celestron (little boys taking things apart!!) He know's or saw nothing and wasn't there!!

Rang the importers but was told to go via a dealer which we have and now just waiting.
