What a stiffy!

Recommended Posts

I received my nice new Explorer 200P yesterday, and what a beast it is! However after checking it over I found that the collimation was wayyyyy off, so out come the cheshire and hotech and I got to work.... Only problem was that the three adjusting screws that require an allen key were too tight, as was the central philips screw! Anyways after selecting a quality screwdriver I held the secondary mirror housing and gave the centre screw some welly, and loosen it did. I just wanted to say not to be scared of doing this, the spider vanes are stronger than they look. Only thing that makes me wonder is why Skywatcher make it such a chore to adjust the scope.

Now I'm just waiting on some new bolts from Astro Developments for my EQ5 and a clear night :icon_salut:
