synguider as planetary cam?

just been naughty and brought a synguider on the cc. just wondering if it can be used as a planetary cam too? I see it has ports on the back, only 1 is needed for the st4 cable so what are the others for?

Nope the Synguider is purely a self contained Guidecam an can't output video ...

The ports ST4, Hand controller and serial ports used for updating the firmware... and a power jack...

Yep they are very good....

Make sure you spend sometime setting up a parafocal EP ... use a bright star as it will make life easier.. you will get an image on the synguider even when the guidescope is out of focus then...

The Synguiders FOV is roughly the same as a 6mm EP but you might want a longer FL I use a 12mm illuminated Reticule one which has a couple of cirles on it one of wich closely matches the FOV...
